Hello! I am so excited to join the Wildwoods team and spread the mission of promoting understanding, appreciation, and well-being of wildlife and the world we share through compassion, care, and community involvement.
I grew up in Southwestern Michigan and began working with animals at the age of 15 when I began volunteering at my local zoo. I continued working at the zoo educating with their ambassador animals throughout college and after that I began my work at the Kalamazoo Nature Center presenting environmental education programs about the natural world, working with captive raptors, and working as a wildlife rehabilitator.
My next adventure brought me to Lanesboro, MN as the Raptor Program Coordinator at Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center. I spent 9 years caring for and educating with non-releasable raptors. After that, I moved up to Duluth to work at the Lake Superior Zoo as the Volunteer Manager and continue educating about the amazing animals we share the world with.
I lived in Omaha and worked at a nature center where I was able to work with and care for 23 raptors, 2 rabbits, 2 ferrets, and several species of amphibians and reptiles. I am so very excited to be in Duluth and be a part of a growing organization and work with amazing people and animals!
